Vygotsky naci\u00f3 en 1896 en Bielorrusia y desarroll\u00f3 su obra en el contexto de la Uni\u00f3n Sovi\u00e9tica, donde articul\u00f3 una psicolog\u00eda profundamente influida por el marxismo y las ciencias sociales. A pesar de su corta vida, falleci\u00f3 en 1934, su contribuci\u00f3n te\u00f3rica tuvo un impacto duradero en la psicolog\u00eda del desarrollo y la educaci\u00f3n. Vygotsky cuestion\u00f3 las concepciones individualistas del desarrollo psicol\u00f3gico, proponiendo que las funciones mentales superiores tienen un origen social y cultural (Vygotsky, 1978). Su enfoque destaca la importancia del contexto, la colaboraci\u00f3n y el significado compartido en la construcci\u00f3n del conocimiento.
